Microfiltration

Membrane-based filtration technology for the removal of particles and microorganisms

Microfiltration (MF) is a membrane filtration technology used to separate solids, particles, and microorganisms from a liquid stream. Semi-permeable membranes with pore sizes in the micrometer range are employed to retain larger particles while allowing water and dissolved substances to pass through.

Microfilters have pore sizes ranging from 0.1 to 10 µm.
