Total Organic Carbon (TOC)

Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is an important parameter for monitoring the organic purity of the product.

The TOC analysis measures the amount of organic carbon compounds in water and provides information about the total level of organic impurities. Typical organic contaminants that can be identified through TOC analysis include humic acids, hydrocarbons, organic acids, alcohols, aldehydes, and ketones.

TOC analyzers use various methods to oxidize organic compounds in water and measure the resulting carbon in the form of CO2, such as through combustion or chemical oxidation.
