Siemens Energy Global is a well-established manufacturer and operator of hydrogen electrolysis systems and is actively committed to the use of hydrogen as a sustainable energy carrier. Hydrogen is used as an eco-friendly fuel for vehicles, as an energy source in industrial operations, and as a raw material in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Siemens Energy Global is a pioneer in this field, driving numerous projects to integrate hydrogen as a key component of the energy transition.
The Solution: A Modular Demineralization System by EnviroFALK
In close collaboration with Siemens Energy Global, Wilhelm Werner GmbH developed a modular demineralization system that encompasses all necessary pretreatment steps. The central pretreatment consists of an ion exchanger softening system, a reverse osmosis unit, membrane degassing, and continuous electrodeionization (CEDI). The system was designed to cover a wide range of capacities, from 200 l/h to 1,200 l/h.
To efficiently reuse process water, a recycling system was also integrated, where the returning water is degassed and demineralized using the ion exchange process.
All operational parameters and conditions are monitored via programmable logic controllers (PLC) and displayed graphically on a screen, while an Ethernet interface enables the transmission of process data to central control systems.
The Benefits of EnviroFALK Water Treatment
Our systems impress with their modular design, which provides high flexibility and easy adaptation to different projects. By combining softening, reverse osmosis, and CEDI, we ensure particularly efficient water treatment. An integrated recycling system reduces water consumption while also optimizing process costs. All operational parameters are precisely monitored and displayed graphically, while central data transmission to control systems ensures improved control and maximum transparency.
